Hi, I’m Steven Ray Wriston.

I grew up in western Pennsylvania, where I often imagined secret worlds hiding just beyond the trees.

From a young age, I was inventing games, writing stories, and watching black-and-white reruns of I Dream of Jeannie and Bewitched. Halloween was, and always will be, my favorite holiday. I’ve always been drawn to stories filled with magic and those that ask what it means to truly belong. Eventually, I turned all those passions into my debut novel, Kids of Kazumeth: The Roots of Kaluna.

I now live in sunny Miami, Florida, where I’m already deep into writing the second book in the Kids of Kazumeth series, that is, of course, when I’m not tending to the whims of my old pooch and new kitten, who both have me wrapped around their little paws.
